Fully compliant with ISO 9001-2000,ACS co-operates fully with its duty of care and with statutory legislation, recognising its responsibility to provide a safe and healthy workplace and work environment for its employees, service users and others who may be affected by its work, and to ensure adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from its work activities.

This is reflected by the companies ability to be awarded with and retain its National Britania Safecontractor accreditation.

All employees are given health and safety induction training when they start work, covering hazard awareness, safety legislation and basics such as hazard avoidance, first aid and fire safety, followed up by refresher training throughout their employment with the company.

Particular training emphasis is placed on the requirements of the Control of  Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations so far as they affect the use of cleaning and maintenance products, and on good practice in the use, storage and safe disposal of such products, as well as ‘green cleaning’ principles and the use of environmentally sensitive products
